I am Pastor Donald Givens, pastor of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. We are thrilled that you decided to visit our web site. We trust you will find informative topics concerning our Church family and Church History.
* We are a Church that believe in the Bible and we strive to live as the Bible teaches.
* We are a Church that believe that Jesus Christ is in fact the Son of God.
* We believe that he was born of a virgin and that he died and has risen from the dead.
* We believe that he went back to His father.
* We believe that it is only through grace that we can be saved from eternal damnation and that being only by accepting the one and only propitiator for our sins, Jesus Christ.
* We believe that one day Christ will return to gather His Church together and there we will forever be with him in glory.
If you live in the Kansas City Metropolitan area and do not have a Church home, we invite you to join in with our fellowship. And what a joyous fellowship it is.
